Butt Hurt Fan Boys

We live in a very strange day and age, the one element within the human condition that should develop and evolve over time is the human mind. The mind is there to be original, enriched and expanded, but .... alas .. it really appears that it is regressing at an alarming rate. I've said before that consciousness is now split between the material world and the digital world. Thinking patterns and the way we process information is changing at a rapid rate. There's a voice that has risen up amongst the systematic bullshit we endure that likes to shut down anything and anyone that dares to be a little different and actually have a mind of their own. There are too many people telling others what they should and shouldn't be doing and thinking. 

Moving what I've written above into metal detecting, these types of voices usually frequent the forums and the YouTube comments section. They like to hide behind stupid screen names because that gives them courage to be complete twats. Statements like "I've Been Detecting 40 Years, I've found 4 Hoards and I've been a Marshall at Detectival" are the types of dross you're presented with if you dare question their superior knowledge. Ladies and gentleman, there are no heroes in metal detecting, we're literally a bunch of people digging shit out the ground and making crap videos about a detector being able to see a coin under an iron nail. Think about that for a moment, in the scheme of things it's all so unimportant and irrelevant. If we all stopped metal detecting tomorrow nobody in the world would ever know or give a shit.

Life in the modern age is like a theatre, you can't have an opinion that goes against the majority otherwise you'll get cancelled by a bunch of cottonwool wrapped fuck-wits that love to put their virtue on a podium for everyone to see. Debate is nonexistent because you're usually shouted down by those with delusions of grandeur, driven by any opportunity to show you how intelligent and smart they are. I personally wouldn't piss on these people if they were on fire. If you push against the crowd then you're going to have a hard time, I mentioned in another blog that the mob regulates itself, keeping those that push against their bullshit, in line. You have to have a strong character to actually be YOU instead of a product of THEM.

Butt Hurt Fan Boys, those that have a mob mentality about the brand of machines they use and if you dare say something that they don't agree with then they attack you with remedial insults reminiscent of the stuff you use to hear in the playground at school. I can't begin to express how pathetic I find all of this, grown men acting like children because you might've shown their beloved machine in a bad light compared to say, a single frequency analog detector. I get it, if you choose to put content out then you have to be prepared to deal with what comes along. 

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I understand that completely, actually if what they're saying is their own opinion and not something they're parroting then I'm actually really interested to hear it. If, however, what they're saying is nonthinking bullshit that's aggressive, passive aggressive or coming from the pinhead brain of a troll. Then I'm not going to be paying attention to anything they've got to say, my resilience for arseholes reduced to round about zero years ago. 

It might come as a surprise to some out there but people are entitled to think and feel the way they want to, they're entitled to have opinions that you may not agree with. They're also entitled to swing a Tesoro or a single frequency analog metal detector without a bunch of non-entities turning the whole thing into a penis swinging contest.
