Nexus Are Far To Expensive 'don't buy one then'

One incessant statement that keeps getting thrown my way is "Nexus Are Expensive", and it's getting really really boring. If you think they're expensive then don't buy one, it's really that simple. I couldn't give a toss if you think they're expensive or not, I happen to think they're worth every penny, if I didn't think this then I wouldn't be spending my money. I don't want to own a machine that's mass produced where profit trumps performance.

So Let Us Take A Look At Some Prices

Minelab Manticore £1,799, yes you get headphones ... WOW !!

XP Deus 2 £1,399, yes you get headphones ... Double WOW !!

Minelab Equinox 900 £1,099 ... headphones included

Nexus Standard MP V3 With A 10' Inch Coil £1,720 .. you get a hand built metal detector, not a toy

Three of the above are mass produced using cheap materials to maximise profits, one of the above is hand built using top quality components. For me personally the Manticore, 900 and the Deus 2 are entertainment boxes, jack of all trade machines that are masters of none. No I haven't used them but I have used the Equinox 800 and still use a Nokta Legend and I believe the performance of all these machines are very close.

Of course there's going to be people out there that strongly disagree but I find most of these entities are either sponsored by XP or Minelab or have an agenda, I don't listen to anything that these people come out with because it's bias, butt kissing bullshit. One thing to take into account is, being sponsored by a company doesn't mean that 'said individual' knows what they're talking about, most of the time they just have a large online following and will bend over with their pants down at the slight offer of a free t-shirt.

Profit Trumps Performance

If I'm going to be completely honest I find nearly all the current 'new tech' machines either on the market, or coming on to the market to be cheap, tacky and incomplete, you're literally buying the same detector over and over again. The only difference is the name of the company on the cheap plastic casing, the rest is just marketing waffle that convinces people to part with their hard earned money.

The Nexus is a raw, powerful metal detector that does one job only and that's to find metal in the ground at depths that exceed any other induction balance machine ever made. How Do I Know This? because I have used all my 4 units extensively, I'm not sponsored by the company, I've spent a ludicrous amount of money on all the gear that I own. Do I Have Buyers Regret? hell no I don't, the only regret I have is not buying one sooner.

So to conclude this short blog post - use whatever machine you want, I couldn't care less but stop wittering pointless bullshit my way, of course I always try to answer any sensible questions asked the best that I can. However, if you're coming at me with nonsensical, ignorant remarks about, Nexus, analog machines and single frequency bollocks, it's probably best you piss off elsewhere. Maybe make "The Metal Detecting Skill School" your first port of call.
