I'm A Nexus Shill - Yup OK Dick Head
Nowadays we live in this really strange world where certain things appear to be inverted, this is across the board and in most areas of our life, the subjects I want to focus on are truth and honesty - it appears, from most peoples point of view, these two things will only be expressed if - you're/they're paid in kind .... or financially . RIGHT? Very few people do something for nothing, I do it for the satisfaction and the process, I don't need to be given nothing to do something I enjoy.
Since uploading my videos to YouTube I've learnt an awful lot about human behaviour and for the most part it actually disgusts me. The trolls, pseudo-experts, hick-town inbreds and retards, without even knowing it, project their way of thinking on to me and by doing this they reveal an awful lot about themselves - they're far too dim to even register this. Actually it was only a short while back a certain prick from South Carolina, a big gob-shite in the metal detecting community actually insinuated to me that I might be making up the fact my wife is dying of terminal cancer, just think about that for a moment, what does that say about this specific individual?

I Am A Shill For Nexus Metal Detectors?
"I've broached this subject before and I'll cover it again"
This is a very telling statement isn't it, what this says to me is very clear and simple, the people saying this wouldn't put the time into making the amount of videos I do about one brand of machine for free. They also wouldn't write as many blogs as I do about a specific machine for free either - but let us remember they probably can't even spell their own fucking names so writing anything would be impossible for them. So let's get this straight, Georgi from Nexus has got me on the payroll to make dishonest videos and spend hours upon hours of my time writing blogs full of lies about his machines.
So I guess Tesoro, Golden Mask, Laser UK, Red Heat Detectors 'the creator is dead', Deeptech, C-Scope and Fisher have also got me on their payroll because I've made videos and written blogs about them as well. Ohhh let's not forget the blogs I've written about the Nokta Legend and Minelab Equinox ... wait ... wait, don't tell me. They also have me on their payroll as well. Hell ....... I might as well give up my day job because I've got to be fucking loaded .. RIGHT? ... wrong. No, actually I am loaded with satisfaction.

I'm All About The Money Mate! |
This might also be a good time to mention both My Poetry Blog and My Carp Fishing Blog so who's been paying me from the age of 14 to the present day to twist my head inside out writing poetry no one reads? Who was paying me to write a carp fishing blog that spans over 13 years? I'll state the obvious here ... no one. Changing the subject for a moment, who was paying me to learn to play drums from the age of 6 and spend my whole life sacrificing any reasonable quality of life to peruse a career in music - that's right, no one. Most of the time you're spending your own money and sacrificing every area of your life to try and make meaningful music that no one really gives a shit about, for pretty much fuck all in return, especially if you didn't have a recording contract.
Money and free stuff doesn't motivate me, consumerism is a sickness, it's a virus of both the mind and ego, now don't misunderstand me, I respect money and I'm very fortunate in the way I earn mine but it isn't my god. I don't need to surround myself with meaningless shit to feel like I'm living, I'd rather write a blog or a poem, go metal detecting or pick up a guitar. These things aid the soul in a soulless world, you're creating, communicating and conjuring something from nothing.
Why Do I Feel The Need To Write A Blog Like This?
Simple - because, once again, I have to point out exactly the way it is with me, lots of new Nexus users understand the time you need to put into mastering the machine. But there's this demographic that don't appear to listen to anything they're being told because 1. They Think They Know It All and/or 2. They Have An Agenda To Make The Machine Look Bad. Hey .. whatever floats your boat but when someone can't operate the machine or mimic the operation that I show and demonstrate instead of taking the time to focus and learn the machine. I instantly get called a liar, deceiver or a shill.
I can't write or make videos any more clearer about the operation of Nexus but it really does appear that some people either can't take it in, aren't prepared to or they just don't understand. These detectors aren't going to serve you, if you don't know what you're doing they will perform like shit. They have a language and a set of quirks like no other machine out there. If you can't master their operation or mimic the performance I demonstrate or the manufacturer demonstrates, instead of being a prick throwing terms like, shill, liar, conman etc. Maybe .... just maybe you and your inability to take in or understand what's required to master these machines might just be the problem. There are no experts when it comes to Nexus, only students, especially if you've only ever used digital detectors.
FTA, Paul.
ReplyDeleteall is said. I think the problem with "experts" is that they don't take the time to really know the machines they have in their hands before publishing their erroneous videos. thanks Paul
ReplyDeleteWhat you described and have experienced, you are not alone. The vast majority seek the easy route, one devoid of real learning, soul searching effort and ultimately satisfaction. We live in a world where interest in anything is driven by excess. Few now care or are interested in the basic things fundamental. The only things grabbing attention are the big stuff, newsworthy attention seeking emptiness turned into an event. As my now dementia crushed mum used to say, ‘the squeaky wheel gets the oil’; think about that for a bit! The little things that really matter, care, love and attention, maintenance or long term investment create no big headlines but are fundamental to our existence and yet this ethos is abandoned to attention grabbing one offs, the easy route to garnering attention and creating the appearance of care. Even local authorities succumb to it.
ReplyDeleteYou believe in Nexus detectors because you have taken the time to learn about how they work and because of this you’ve reaped the rewards. You like me, do not seek instant gratification, the adoration of your peers or the envy of the members of your detecting club. You seek no external validation and say and do because you’ve come to an informed opinion through experience and knowledge, an aim hardly reflected in this world of screen driven instant short term high, sound bites, selfie shots, quick fixes, all the short cuts to attention seeking success. Altruistically expressing your findings and thoughts about the machines you learned and put faith will fall on deaf ears, these machines are off trend. Anyone who’s been brainwashed into spending many hundreds if not thousands of pounds on an aggressively marketed, tuneful, well known brands of detector and has suffered disappointment or has their beliefs challenged is unlikely to concede or be open mimnded, instead blindly believing in what the marketing has told them as daring to try something different might confirm their worst fears? These sirens of the rut and their marketing techniques work alarmingly well on the male psyche . So anyone not partaking in this illusion is treated with scepticism and rejection. I note but with a few exceptions, none of the machines you mention and myself being a golden mask and Fisher user are aggressively marketed and let’s face it, a good product sells itself does it not?
I can only imagine the pain you, you wife and loved ones are going through. The sheer agony of having to stand powerless watching the person you love most in the world be slowly taken from you, taken out of their own lives bit by bit is something many of us care not to think about. Anyone suggesting to you that you would open your heart to others about this very personal and terrible suffering as a lie for means of manipulation over something as unimportant as the make of the detector you chose to tell others about, my goodness whoever you are you should hang your head in utter shame. I hope for your sake you and your loved ones never have to go through this agony. But, more than likely as many of us will, so will you for this is the high price we often pay for the great fortune of finding love.
