Nexus 4' Inch Concentric Coil Is Born 'Micro Blog'

In this day and age of metal detecting small coils are hard to come by, I found myself furiously searching the web and stalking eBay trying to find more 4' inch Tesoro coils. My paranoia paid off because I now own three and two of them are literally brand new. On terrain like the river Thames the 4' coils work really well because they can move between the iron and there's genuinely not as many targets under the coil at the same time .. thus making it easy to hit on and isolate the nonferrous treasures.

Nexus have now produced a 4' inch concentric coil operating at around 25KHZ and its currently making its way over to me via DHL. On the river I have no interest in depth, it's all about unmasking and separation, it's pretty common knowledge among Nexus users that these machines detect deeper in the ground than they do in air.

Air tests show that this coil can sniff a Victorian penny at about 12' inches and a medium sized hammered coin at around 8', meaning that you're still going to get good depth out of a coil this small if you're using it on land that isn't super loaded with iron. When it arrives we'll take a closer look at it and then I'll head on down to the river to see how it performs, I have no doubt it's going to be fantastic.
